Today, WWE reported on their website that Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared by WWE to return to in-ring action. WWE stated:
Following more than two years of extensive evaluations, four-time World Champion Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts, including Dr. Robert Cantu, Dr. Javier Cárdenas and Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher. Bryan underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations independent of WWE. He was cleared by each doctor as well as WWE’s Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon.

In February of 2016, Daniel Bryan appeared on Raw to announce that he would have to retire from in-ring competition, much to dismay of wrestling fans everywhere. Bryan was (and still is) one of WWE's greatest underdogs, and his success story will be remembered by fans forever.

Although his WWE career was cut short following too many concussions and injuries, Bryan still pursued testing outside of WWE, and was cleared by many doctors to return. As WWE, stated, it took two years for them to finally clear the leader of the "Yes!" Movement.
Fans hoped it would happen, but knew it would be a long shot. Bryan is currently General Manager of Smackdown Live, so it will be interesting to see how his career in WWE plays out. Fans have been waiting for the culmination of his feud with Shane McMahon, which involved many disputes over the opportunities given to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Personally, I could not be more excited. I don't think anyone is unhappy about this news, and with Bryan's charisma and in-ring skill, no bad could come from this. I only hope that the two years in limbo pays off with more title runs and excellent storylines for Daniel Bryan.
Can't wait for Smackdown! Do you think they'll announce a match for him right away?
